Ms. Berry has lived in Cochise County for over 30 years. After attending Cochise College she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona in 1996. In 2009, she completed a Master’s Degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University. After working briefly as both a long term care nurse, and a medical-surgical nurse, she began her career as a Community Health Nurse. In 1997, she accepted a position at Sierra Vista’s Apache Middle School as a school nurse. While there, she continued her education and obtained her School Nurse Certification and became the district’s nurse coordinator. Additionally, she was actively involved with the school serving as a SADD Club Advisor and tennis coach. In 2001, Cindy took a position as a Public Health Nurse for the Cochise County Health Department, where she managed several prevention and nursing programs. Continuing her education, she acquired certifications in breastfeeding counseling and childcare health consulting, and completed the Accelerated Leadership Development Program through Arizona State University. In 2007 she accepted the position of Director of Nursing. In September of 2008, Cindy took a position with the Department of the Army at the Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center as a Community Health Nurse. Cindy teaches childhood growth and development, and health, safety and nutrition at Cochise College for the Early Childhood Education Department. Cindy is married to Ben Berry who is the Director of K – 12 Outreach at Cochise College. They have one daughter, Summer, who attends Western New Mexico University as a graduate student seeking a degree in counseling. They both take pleasure in doing home improvement projects while living in Hereford enjoying the quiet country life.
