Degrees and Certifications:
M.S. Educational Leadership
I grew up predominately in Michigan after my father completed his time in the U.S. Navy. I joined the army shortly after high school graduation. After serving in the army as an Air Traffic Controller, I pursued motherhood and a career in education. I obtained my bachelor's degree in special education from Austin Peay State University and my master's in educational leadership from Western Governors University. I have been a part of the Fort Huachuca Accommodation School District for 6 years. I started at General Myer Elementary as an Instructional Assistant followed by 5 years at Colonel Johnston Elementary as a K-2 Special Education Resource Teacher. I am looking forward to the new challenge of being the Principal at Colonel Smith Middle School.
I met my husband while we were stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany. We married in 1998. We have two amazing boys. I enjoy mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, camping, and spending time with my family.
